History

NLVBC began when Pastor Kevin and his wife felt called to Las Vegas after graduating from Southeastern Theological Seminary in North Carolina. The church began in their small living room in January of 2003. The church consisted of Kevin, Elizabeth, and their 4 month old daughter. From the very first Sunday, and each Sunday afterwards God always sent people. The room was never empty!

After the first year, God provided enough money for the church to rent a space in a commercial office complex in North Las Vegas.  We were blessed to be at this location until 2008, when God provided our current location with a larger building and 4 acres of land for potential expansion. The cost of purchasing this new property was less than we were paying in rent each month so it was a tremendous blessing! 

Worship

We believe that the Bible has the solution to the sin problem that every person faces and we encourage all to come to Jesus.  Except for special occasions, we generally teach through books of the Bible to gain a fuller understanding of God's Word. This style of teaching brings great comfort, as well as confrontation of our sin. Both are needed. We never apologize for God's Truth, even when it is uncomfortable. Eternity is too long for us to not clearly teach the exclusivity of salvation found through Jesus.
